Finally finished (one of) my April's Beyond the Stars Maker Challenge. The devil was in the details. Jeepers, what I get myself into. I know how to make a good hinge, now. Anyway, this is a kiln-fired copper enamel hinged triptych, based on the Galaxy Arp 273 which is 300 million light years away. And I think it's a long way to Portland. Hah. This is the largest kiln-fire piece I've made. That's why I love these challenges - it makes me get off of my duff and do something new. Always wanted to do a "triptych". As always, I struggle with photos, and how best to display something like this for a good picture. Any help out there?
